Surely each of us, leaving the apartment, remembered that he had not turned off the light in the living room or bedroom. Or after he went to bed, he noticed the left light in the kitchen. All AlphaSE system modules designed for lighting control have a special input for connecting the master switch. It is usually placed last. By closing it for one and a half seconds, the module will turn off all output relays. For example, the SE 6i5o Light / Pro / Ultra modules use "Input 6" to connect the master switch.
If we parallelize these inputs for several modules, then by pressing one button we can turn off all their outputs. When connecting, it is important to observe the polarity, otherwise the master switch will not work.
In some cases, in addition to turning off the lights, we may need to perform additional actions or perform some of the actions with a delay. For example, in the southern regions, you can close all the curtains in the house in the summer. This will eliminate overheating of the rooms from direct sunlight. When leaving a private house, indoor lighting can be turned off immediately, and outdoor lighting can be turned off only after 10 minutes. This will allow you to get into the car and drive out of the yard in normal light. To implement this functionality, we will need an additional SE HomeStatus module that stores information about the presence of people at home.
First, let's look at the wiring diagram and configuration of modules for automatic closing of curtains in summer. The connection diagram will change slightly. Our switch at the entrance door will now need to be connected to the input of the SE HomeStatus module, and the output of the module will need to be connected to the input of the master switch of the lighting modules.
To configure it, go to the Online Automation settings section.
This page will display all our scripts (sets of commands), which in the future we will be able to run at the specified time, with HTTP requests or when the status of the inputs/outputs of the modules changes. Let's create a "Close all curtains" script here. We will add commands for closing curtains to it.
After that, you need to add a modular trigger. Modular triggers are designed to run scripts if the input or output state of the module changes to the required one. It should be remembered that modular triggers relate to Online automation. For this reason, they will only work if there is an internet connection.
We indicate that the trigger will execute the "Close all curtains" script when the master switch is closed for a long time (the Point0 input of the SE HomeStatus module with address 41 will switch to the Closed state), the current month is in the range from April to October, the current time is in the range from dusk to dawn. The setup is complete.
Next, let's look at the wiring diagram for equipment in a private home, when street lighting does not need to be turned off immediately, but with a delay. To do this, you will need to initially connect the street lighting groups to separate SE 6i5o modules. When the master switch button is pressed, the SEQUATUS module will immediately close the input of the master switch of the interior lighting control modules, and with a delay, the input of the master switch of the street lighting control modules. No configuration of scripts or triggers is required.
By default, the delay time for turning off street lighting is 5 minutes. You can change it to another one in the SEUSTATUS module settings.
