Heating control is an integral part of a smart home, which significantly increases comfort and serves to save energy. There are several ways to implement this functionality in the AlphaSE system for Yandex Alice. This article will cover connecting and configuring the SE Thermo2o thermostat to control underfloor heating, radiators, a heated towel rail, and even a boiler.
Method No. 1 (adjustment based on the floor sensor only)
The temperature sensor is located in the floor between the coils of the heating cable or pipes. If the measured temperature is less than the required one, the thermostat relay closes and the floor heating begins. After reaching the set temperature, the relay opens. This is the mode in which most of the thermoregulators on the market operate.

Method No. 2 (adjustment by floor and air sensors)
There are cases when the operation of underfloor heating leads to overheating of the air in the room and it becomes uncomfortable to be in the room. To avoid this situation, the SE Thermo2o supports 2 sensors. The main sensor is mounted, as in the first case, in the floor, and the additional one is mounted on the wall to measure the air temperature. If the air temperature reaches a preset threshold, the underfloor heating will be turned off, regardless of the degree of their heating. For example, the required temperature can be set to 26 degrees Celsius for the floor temperature sensor and 24 degrees Celsius for the air. The operating mode is set using 2 sensors and the maximum air temperature is set in the module parameters via the personal account on the website. alice.smart-elec.ru .
Method No. 1 (by air temperature sensor)
To control the radiators, the temperature sensor is installed at a height of 150 cm from the clean floor. If the measured temperature is lower than the set temperature, the thermostat will close the relay and supply power to the thermal head that controls the water supply to the radiator. After reaching the required temperature, the relay will open.
Method No. 2 (by air temperature sensor and radiator)
For greater comfort, we recommend using 2 sensors. At low temperatures outside, the part of the room next to the windows cools down earlier than the part located further from the windows. As a result, we can get a situation where the sensor in the back of the room shows a comfortable temperature, and the radiator and the floor by the window have cooled down so much that it is not comfortable to stand next to the window.
To solve this problem, an additional sensor is mounted on the return pipe of the room radiator. When the radiator temperature drops below the set temperature, the thermostat relay will close and open the water supply. This way, the radiator and the floor next to the window will always be warm. The required temperature (setpoint) can be set to 25 degrees for the main sensor, and 24 degrees for the additional sensor (on the radiator). The operating mode is set using 2 sensors and the minimum radiator temperature is set in the module parameters via the personal account on the website. alice.smart-elec.ru .
The SE Thegmo2o module allows you to save electricity when drying towels or bathrobes. The effect is achieved due to the fact that the temperature of the heated towel rail is not maintained constantly, but only for a set time after pressing the button. The working time can be set via your personal account in the range from 1 minute to 4 hours.
The activation of the "Towel warmer" mode and the setting of the "Shutdown time" are performed in the settings of the parameters of the personal account module.
In all the previously discussed versions, SE Thermo2o can be used to control the heating of 2 different rooms, since the regulator is a 2-channel, and 1 or 2 thermal sensors can be used for each room.
In some cases, the temperature in the house is regulated by regulating the temperature of the water entering the heating system from the boiler. For example, we have a cottage where we don't come often. During our absence, the temperature in the house needs to be maintained at 15 degrees Celsius, and when we plan to go there, we will increase it to a comfortable 22-25 degrees. This task can be solved using SE Thermo2o and a 3-way crane with servo drive.
The thermostat will periodically check the temperature of the water returning from the heating system (return). If it is less than required, the regulator will open the 3-way faucet so that hotter water enters the heating system. If the return temperature is higher than required, turn off the faucet so that less hot water enters the heating system.
This method requires calibration of two parameters
After each check, the faucet can be slightly opened/closed with a thermostat or remain in the same state. It is recommended to set the frequency of inspection more than the time of passage of water from the 3-way tap to the temperature sensor. The exposure time depends on the turning speed of the crane and can be set from 1 to 9 seconds.
The module can perform weather-dependent control. This means that the water temperature in the heating system will be calculated automatically depending on the outdoor temperature. To operate in this mode, you will need to install a 3-way crane and 3 temperature sensors.:
The dependence of the coolant temperature on the outdoor temperature can be changed in your personal account. The following dependency is set by default.
